Dr. Renato Berger - Three Reasons You Should Vaccinate Your Child

Dr. Renato Berger is the Chief Medical Officer of the All Better Pediatric Group in Coconut Creek, Florida. He has three pediatric care providers working under him and his office offers care six days a week. Parents can bring their children to the All Better Pediatric Group for regular check-ups as well as immunizations. There are some vaccines that need to be administered every year, while others may only need a booster every few years. There are several reasons you should vaccinate your child.

Immunizations are safe and effective. Doctors, scientists, and other healthcare professionals have spent years developing vaccines. They are administered to health children and adults in order to protect them from future illness. Some vaccines can cause tenderness and redness at the injection point, but, major side effects are very rare.

Immunizing your child can save his or her life. Some diseases are fatal to children, and easily prevented through vaccination. For example, influenza can be deadly to children but immunizations greatly reduce the chances of your child being infected.

Vaccines do not just protect your child, but those around you. Vaccinations are especially important for families with multiple children. If you have a toddler and an infant, your older child may contract an illness, such as whooping cough, that could be deadly for your baby. Following your doctor’s recommendations for vaccination can help keep your entire family safe and healthy. Dr. Renato Berger cares about the health of children and families. He runs a practice in Florida that offers immunization services.

Dr. Renato Berger - Does Your Child Have Asthma?

The Center for Disease Control reports that as of 2014, more than eight percent of children have asthma. Dr. Renato Berger has experience with treating asthmatic children. He has been practicing pediatric medicine for more than two decades and cares about the health of children. If you are a parent, then there are several facts that you should know about asthma.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder that results in airway obstructions. It can be triggered by several factors including allergens, exercise, cold air, and smoke. In young children it can be fatal if it is not managed. Symptoms of asthma include difficulty breathing and the feeling of tightness in the chest. Another symptom is a low endurance for exercise.

A child who is suffering from an asthma attack is unable to breathe because his or her airways inflame and close. Asthmatic children need to carry around inhalers that administer corticosteroids into their lungs. Corticosteroids are anti-inflammatory agents that help asthmatic children get the oxygen they need during an attack. There are also several other treatments that are prescribed on a case by case basis.

If your child has asthma, it is important to keep your kid active. Physical activity that is not too strenuous could help strengthen your child’s lungs. It is important to remember to take your child to a pediatrician every year. A doctor can help you manage your child’s asthma. Dr. Renato Berger has been working in pediatrics for many years and has a strong knowledge of pediatric pulmonology.

Dr. Renato Berger - Three Reasons Good Hygiene is Important for Your Child

Dr. Renato Berger earned his medical degree in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He completed a residency in pediatrics and a Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He opened the All Better Pediatric Group in 2005. His medical practice offers a number of pediatric services. He works hard to help his patients maintain good dental hygiene and hygiene in general. Good hygiene is important for your child’s health.

Hygiene involves caring for your children’s teeth. It is important to help your child learn proper dental hygiene practices. Healthy primary teeth can lead to healthy secondary teeth. Poor dental hygiene can cause tooth rot, and possible tooth loss.

Good hygiene can help your child stay healthy as well. For example, if your child does not wash his or her hands, he or she can come down with a virus. If your child washes his or her hands on a regular basis, then he or she has a better chance of staying healthy.

Another reason to teach your child good hygiene is to keep them healthy overall. Bathing regularly and wearing clean clothes can help your child avoid rashes and other skin irritations. Good Hygiene can help your child wash away any excess bacteria as well. Dr. Berger helps his patients stay healthy and avoid illnesses. He cares about helping children grow and become stronger. He is an experienced pediatrician, who has spent years developing his knowledge as a physician. Dr. Renato Berger is a caring and dedicated doctor in Florida.

Dr. Renato Berger - Online Abuse

Bullying – specifically virtual bullying and cyberbullying – has been on the rise for more than ten years. It is difficult to combat because kids don’t want to rat out their friends, Online abuse is easily erased and many schools are not aware of the right strategies to assist victims and root out perpetrators. Cyberbullying is challenging to understand and very upsetting to budding generations; it is up to school authorities and parents to minimize issues on social media.

A young person’s mental health could be more negatively impacted depending on how the situation is handled by guardians and school officials. As more people establish virtual lives, the Internet has become ripe stomping grounds for bullies, haters and low-lifes. They are faceless. They are often harder to trace and stop then bullies who do their dirty work in-person. Online or not, the dismal effects of bullying are no less significant, damaging children’s confidence and sending them into a downward spiral of discontent and despair. Cyberbullying is an epidemic affecting the minds of millions of children across the world.

Your child may be a victim of Online bullying if he or she doesn’t want to attend school, extra-curricular activities, etc.; if he or she becomes upset after using the computer or checking social media; if he or she seems more sad, withdrawn or moodier than usual; and if he or she avoids questions about what’s going on. Children who bully may show similar signs, as well as unusual or extended computer activity, quickly switching screens when you walk in the room, or multiple usernames parents don’t recognize.

Online abuse shouldn’t ruin your child’s life. The Internet is a safe space for all to enjoy. Don’t allow unfettered computer access to damage your child’s sense of self.
